The birth of PlayCom

PlayCom was inspired by the idea of having chess players having a much greater say in matters that directly affect them. PlayCom was set up by the chess players for the chess players.

PlayCom strongly believes that chess players should play an active role over the board and off the board regarding issues that directly affect them. If chess players can be more involved then it will mean better playing conditions for players, a more professional approach being taken towards the game of chess, more lucrative partnerships with potential sponsors, growth and promotion of the game and a better future for chess players not just in South Africa but the whole continent.
