Round 8 at the SA Closed Chess 2015, Results, games and ranking #SAClosed 2015

Below are the results from the Round 8 games following by the updated table of the players for each section.

International Master (IM) Daniel Cawderry is still leading the A section with 6,5 points.  Fide Candidate Master (CM) Roland Bezuindenhout and Mafanya Kulasande are jointly leading Section B with 7 points each. International Master (IM) Tshepang Tsale is leading the ladies with 6,5 points.

Summary

Section A – Half the games were decisive with IM Daniel Cawdery, Fide Master (FM) Daniel Barrish and IM Watu Kobese won their games against.  IM Johannes Mabusela drew his game against James Michael, and the same applied to FM Charles de Villiers against Donovan van der Heever and FM Calvin Klaasen against Ryan van Rensburg.

In Section B  CM Bezuidenhout Roland and  Mafanya Kulasande won their games.   Thapelo Matsaung got the better of  Basil  Ellman and Heinco Du Plessis outplayed  Justin Wilken. The remaining games between George Lee-Roy Lawerlot  Alfred Pesa Mofoka  as well as  Daniel  Wium against  Jacques C. Meintjes were draws.

Women’s Section – Almost all games were decisive WIM Tlale Tshepang,  WIM Denise Frick and Jesse February and Kaylyn Fritz all won their games.
