Africa Chess partners with Chess.com to launch daily online tournaments

Africa Chess has partnered with chess.com to grow the game of chess on the continent.  A daily Africa Chess tournament has been launched on chess.com. Every single day at 2000 hours Central African Time (CAT) there will be an Africa Chess Swiss tournament on chess.com. For a long time now Africa Chess has been looking to run regular online swiss tournaments where everyone gets to play the same number of games in a tournament.

The daily tournament on chess.com will be a blitz event with a time control of 2+2 open to everyone and will run for an hour. At Africa Chess we are very excited about this partnership with  chess.com. There will be prizes for the top 3 players at the end of every week that but there is a catch. The prize winners need to be members of the Africa Chess Club on Chess Club and our social media groups on Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram.

The partnership with chess.com is a massive opportunity develop the game of chess in Africa. Chess.com is the largest platform for chess players in the world with more than 20 million players registered on the website. Chess.com has many features and tools that make it an ideal platform for African chess players.

We know that they are many chess players in Africa and we look forward to connecting with all the players in the  tournament. We also hope to introduce new people to the game of chess.

Finding the tournament on chess.com is very easy. from chess.com in your browser look go to live chess and look under tournaments for Africa Chess Swiss. Registration for the events opens up one hour before the event.
