Adebayo Fejiro of Nigeria (Joshua304) wins Africa Chess GrandPrix

Congratulations to Adebayo Fejiro of Nigeria (Joshua304 on Lichess) on winning the Africa Chess GrandPrix in December 2017. For his efforts he has received US$50 (+R600). Not bad at all considering that these events are free to enter.

Adebayo was incredibly consistent during the December GrandPrix season. In almost every chess event he played he was in the top 3.

The time control of our GrandPrix Tournaments was 2+2 (2 minutes + 2 seconds) and the tournaments were played during the weekend, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 1900 hrs to 2000 hrs and 2100 to 2200 hrs, all Central African Time.

Through the Africa Chess online tournaments we are getting more people in Africa to play chess. Chess players can take part in our events from the comfort of their homes. #AfricaChess

A very big thank you to our sponsor for making this possible. Our GrandPrix sponsor wishes to remain anonymous at this stage.
